Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical fiber core with a sufficiently cured resin layer that does not suffer from peeling of the coloring when separated into a single optical fiber core from an optical fiber ribbon. An optical fiber core (10) is composed of a glass fiber (13) and a resin coating layer (16) that covers the outer periphery of the glass fiber (13). The resin coating layer (16) includes a colored layer having a thickness of 10 [mu]m or more, and contains a titanium element having a 0.06-1.8 mass%. An optical fiber ribbon (20) is constituted by a plurality of the optical fiber cores (10) aligned parallel to each other, while the plurality of the optical fiber cores (10) are mutually connected by a connection material (21).
